Aston Villa kept their winning run alive in the Premier League by with a remarkable festive victory over Chelsea.
Villa players have certainly been a mixed bag in terms of Fantasy Premier League points this season but a handful of them are gradually striding towards something that looks a bit like a normal campaign. Needless to say, Villa’s real life progress has been a team effort.
Let’s check in with last week’s scores in the Premier League’s official FPL game and see how the Villa boys have been getting on. Don’t forget – your chips will reset after this gameweek!
With two goals off the bench against Chelsea, Villa striker Ollie Watkins tops the squad’s scoring ranking this week with a very healthy return of 12 points, five higher than the next Villa player, Youri Tielemans.
He is now Villa’s third-highest scorer with 67 points for the season, eight more than goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez.
Morgan Rogers wasn’t a big winner in GW18 but tops the Villa list with 92 total points for the season. Matty Cash has 76 points in all.
After a slow start, Rogers has flown up the FPL rankings. He is now the eighth-highest scorer in the game in 2025/26.

There’s no positional change in the top four of our AVF FPL league but Abdelrhman Gooda in second place is now just seven points behind long-time league leader Gary James.
Rich Ludlow is third and Warren Torch fourth, with Amber Barnard now sitting in the top five.
Our top scorer in a pretty modest week was Amr Elghazaly with a mighty 77 points to move past the 1000-point mark and into the top 20. 29 of those points came because of a bench boost – nicely done.
Lucy Smith remains in last place with 37 points for GW18. I’m 45th. It’ll do for now.
