What Awaits Manchester United In November 2025?

Manchester United have had the month of October to remember. After their 3-1 loss to Brentford at the end of September, many football fans were probably thinking Ruben Amorim was far more likely to lose his job during the upcoming month rather than be one of the top candidates for the Manager of the Month award. But that is exactly what happened – Man United played mere three matches this month but they made three consecutive wins and they drastically jumped in the Premier League standings. Their 2-0 win against in-form Sunderland was good but the 2-1 victory at Anfield against Liverpool a particular highlight. It was all made better last weekend with a 4-2 win against Brighton and now the Devils are entering November in high spirits. Here is what awaits them.

Just Four Matches

Thanks to losing the Europa League final last season, and then getting humiliated at the start of the EFL Cup this season, Man United are playing only Premier League matches until early January, when the third round of the FA Cup will come to the fore. This is why we will have another month with just a handful United games, offering plenty of time to Amorim to work with his team every midweek. Hopefully the positive effects will continue to be felt this coming month.

First Up – Nottingham Forest

Man United will travel to Forest’s City Ground of 1 November in an interesting encounter with the team that has had a turbulent start of the campaign. Had Ange Postecoglou remained in the post, this would probably be a much better proposition for the Devils, but the arrival of Sean Dyche could result in a more no-nonsense approach from Nottingham and United will have to be prepared for a proper battle this coming Saturday.

Tricky Trip To London

Man United will then face Tottenham Hotspur on 8 November, in Saturday’s early kick-off match. Spurs had a good start to the season, but after their last night’s defeat in the League Cup, they will have more time to focus on the upcoming clash with Chelsea, and then a Champions League match against Copenhagen. That shouldn’t trouble them too much as they will play again at home and no long European travels could get them too tired ahead of United.

Everton And Palace To End The Month

After that, United will return home to face Everton on 24 November. This will be full 16 days after the Tottenham match, considering the last international break of the year will be in between. Also, United’s match against Everton will be a Monday night prime-time clash and the opponent will be the team that has just one win since the start of September. This was against Crystal Palace, United’s final opponent of this coming month.

After Everton, United will have to travel again to London, now to face Oliver Glasner’s strong squad on 30 November. Palace just eliminated Liverpool from the League Cup, and in the past five months, have won the FA Cup and the Community Shield. They also defeated Liverpool in the league, but recently struggled against Everton, Bournemouth and AEK Larnaca. Before the United match, Palace will have to face two more teams in the Conference League, so they might be tired by the time of that encounter.
