The 2025 Open Championship continues on Friday with the second round at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland. You can find full Open Championship tee times for Friday’s second round at the bottom of this post.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler caused a stir in his pre-tournament press conference when he opined about the meaning of winning golf tournaments. But if anyone thought the three-time major champ had lost his will to win, Scheffler quieted those thoughts in the opening round.
Scheffler started steady on Thursday, then made two late birdies at 16 and 17 to shoot a three-under 68, leaving him one shot off the early lead. That’s bad news for anyone else hoping to hoist the Claret Jug at Royal Portrush this week.

After starting early for Round 1, Scheffler will begin the second round in the later wave on Friday, teeing off at 10:10 a.m. ET alongside Shane Lowry (70) and Collin Morikawa (75).
