Heading into the first round of the 2025 Memorial, defending champion Scottie Scheffler is the prohibitive betting favorite. But that doesn’t guarantee him a win, despite the fact that he won last year and is the World No. 1.
Take last week, when Scheffler was a huge favorite at the Charles Schwab Challenge and didn’t win. He did, however, finish T4. But he’s hoping this week brings him his third victory of the season, along with the $4 million winner’s prize, one of the PGA Tour’s biggest paydays.
One of the toughest finishing holes on TOUR, the par-4 18th hole at Muirfield Village Golf Club has set the stage for dramatic finishes at the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday. Take a deep dive, presented by ReliaQuest, into this iconic hole at “Jack’s Place.”
Scheffler will tee off for Round 1 on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET alongside Sepp Straka.
