Arsenal to Make Shocking Move for Former Man United Star

Man United had a star they let go in 2012, only to sign him in 2016 for a then-world record transfer fee of €105 million (£89.3 million). The fee was the highest for an English club until 2021. Despite being an influential player for the Red Devils, he left in rather acrimonious circumstances re-joining Juventus in 2022.

Paul Pogba’s return to Juventus has been marred heavily by injuries, and things got from bad to worse when he was provisionally suspended for four years after a failed drugs test. In his first season in Juventus following his move from Man United, Pogba amassed a meager 108 minutes over six Serie A games, three brief appearances and one assist in the Europa League, and 11 minutes in the Coppa Italia – a total of 162 minutes and no goals.

The ban on the midfield maestro was reduced to 18 months, with the alignment that he would commence training in January 2025 and eligible for competitive football from March 2025. Juventus has moved on from the former Man United star and will be willing to receive any reasonable offers for the midfielder.

Former Arsenal legendary midfielder, Emmanuel Petit, wants Arsenal to take a punt on Paul Pogba,

“Paul Pogba will become a free transfer at 32 years old. I can’t remember the last time I saw him smiling. “Pogba wants revenge, he wants to prove to himself and fans around the world that he’s not finished yet. – Petit

With Arsenal losing club captain, Martin Odegaard, to injury, having a punt on Pogba isn’t actually a bad idea. With elder statesman, Jorginho, currently at the September of his career and Thomas Partey still having contractual issues, Arsenal aren’t really stocked in midfield and having an experienced and combative technician like Pogba will be a massive plus.

Yes, he comes with his fair share of baggage, but the former Man United midfielder is an excellent passer of the ball, has amazing technique, possessing a powerful long shot and dictates tempo with confidence. The major concern with signing a player like Pogba will be his terrible injury record, as per TransferMarkt, he has missed close to 60 games he should have been eligible to play due to lengthy layoffs.
